Pasa Puchah Guthi UK organised Mohani Celebration at Harrow Football Club On Sunday, 15 October 2023, Pasa Puchah Guthi UK, London, held a Mohani
Celebration ‘Music, Masti, Mohani’ with the theme "Black and Red," symbolizing Haku Patasi – a traditional Saree worn by Newah girls and women in Kathmandu Nepal. Attendees were encouraged to wear black and red for the event. The event was held at Harrow Hall and was attended by more than 100 enthusiastic participants across the UK.
Attendees were blessed by the elder member of the Guthi, Mrs. Renu Manandhar with Tika, Kokha, Samay-baji; a delectable Newah delicacies, including Chhoyela, Bara, Achar, eggs, and baji—a quintessential Newah Starter followed by the Newah Bhoye. This was a historic moment as it was the first time Pasa Puchah Guthi UK organised a Dinner and Dance event, a gesture enthusiastically embraced by their members and attendees. The evening featured melodious renditions of popular songs, captivating dance performances, and a soul-stirring poetry recital. DJ Hem Bista played a pivotal role in infusing the Mohani Celebration with energy and an irresistible dancing ambiance that carried on throughout the night. The event also acknowledged for the Best Male Dancer, Best Female Dancer, Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Boy, and Best Dressed Girl. There was a special participation from the Chairman of Pasa Puchah Guthi UK (BOT) and the General Secretary of Pasa Puchah Guthi UK, Aldershot.
